Dunedin users of DSL connections were offline following an outage on the Telecom network yesterday.

The outage affected customers using either JetStream or JetStart through any ISP and began at around 11.30am.

"It lasted for approximately two hours," says Telecom spokesperson Andrew Bristol.

Telecom has not released details of the outage, although IDGNet understands it to be a problem with the Dunedin DSLAM (digital subscriber line access multiplexer), used to connect the DSL lines with Telecom's network.
