Whether Computer Associates' New Zealand operation, which employs 35 staff, will be affected by redundancies announced by its US parent earlier this month is unclear.
"We're evaluating the impact on New Zealand and as yet, no decisions have been made," CA New Zealand managing director Richard Collins says.
CA announced on October 11 that 900 of the firm's 18,000 worldwide staff would lose their jobs.
Chief executive Sanjay Kumar said that after the reductions, "staffing levels will be more appropriately geared to the new business model we introduced last year."
Most of the cuts will be in North America, some in Latin America and a small number in other areas.
