The fate of in-receivership Auckland software developer Genie Systems is close to being settled.
Genie finance chief Craig Brown last week directed enquiries about the company to receiver McCallum Peterson, which has been advertising the company for sale.
Spokeswoman Alison Sargant says her firm hoped to receive all offers by last Wednesday, but she would not comment on the firm's future this week.
"We are pretty positive [we have found a buyer], but we won't discuss it at the moment," she says.
Meanwhile, Fisher & Paykel Appliances, which uses Genie's OrderWare software, says the possible demise of the software company should not affect its business as it uses Orderware via Unisys on an ASP basis.
