Auckland ISP Iprolink is to recruit other ISPs for internet roaming provider Gric Communications.

California-based Gric has partnerships with 300 ISPs offering roaming in 15,000 locations worldwide, but the Iprolink deal is its first aggregation arrangement with an ISP.

Gric will charge the ISPs a fee for roaming services which it will then share with Iprolink. Recently sold Asia Online NZ has also partnered with Gric.

Iprolink chief executive Paul Speary was confident three ISPs would take up the service “by the end of the week”.
