The head of telecommunications user group TUANZ, Ernie Newman, has been elected chairman of international user group INTUG.

Newman’s election last night means no change to his TUANZ role, he says.

Newman says the international group’s mission is to represent the interests of large telecomms users and to advance telecomms in less developed markets.

He has a personal interest in helping establish user groups in Japan and India.
