Wellington IT consultancy GemTech Solutions has bought the youth-oriented mobile internet service E-Zebra from Ericsson.

GemTech director William Giesbers wouldn’t say how much the deal was worth or reveal GemTech’s future plans for the service.

“We see some potential in what E-Zebra is doing. We’ve only just got it and we’re still finding out about it.”

GemTech offers advice on sales and business development, professional services, technology implementation and operation and customer service delivery management.

E-Zebra was owned and developed by Ericsson from December 2000 until February this year although it operated as a separate entity. Prior to that it was owned by property investor Savoy Equities.
