Yet another familiar name in IT recruitment is set to disappear with the "integration" of Lacey Lee with its owners TMP Worldwide.
The company, taken over by the owners of the Monster.com jobs website, will integrate with TMP Worldwide Technology as a division of eResourcing on July 1. Lacey Lee operations will move into TMP Worldwide premises in Auckland and Wellington.John Lacey, one of the three directors of the original company, and current New Zealand general manager of Lacey Lee, will remain at the combined enterprise.
A spokeswoman for TMP's New Zealand general manager says Lacey's new job title remains undecided but the company name Lacey Lee will disappear. The "integration" will not impact on services to employers and jobseekers, she says.
The owners of US-based Monster.com bought the seven-year-old New Zealand company in December 2000. Then Lacey Lee employed 38 staff in Auckland and Wellington, compared with 21 today. TMP Worldwide Technology employs 38.5 staff across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Further jobs will go in the "integration", but TMP says redundancies will be "minimal."
