Graphic designer

I am a graphic designer, working for a television production company - catering for all its graphic needs (for Web, print and television).

Dear What Am I Worth

I am 26 years old and am a graphic designer for a television production company broadcasting on the Sky Network, based in Auckland. I cater for all its graphic needs, for example Web, print and television. This includes 2D and 3D Animation, Web design, MPG encoding and graphics for print, ie advertising, posters and CDs.

My formal training includes a one-year Foundation in Design, six months' 2D Animation and a one-year post graduate Diploma in Computer Publishing and Design. I have a good working knowledge of the most popular design software packages.

Other relevant work experience includes: screenprinting for three years; communications supervisor in the security industry; computer monitoring, rostering and database management; personnel management and customer services.

Just doing it

Mercury Consulting replies: $40,000 to $50,000. This assumes you have only some Web design work and are interested in focusing on graphics design in Web development group, and you have little software development knowledge. Your value will grow rapidly as your programming/systems/process knowledge expands.
