New Zealand Post has bought a share of the Infolink Group, a workflow software company, for $1.8 million.

Auckland-based Infolink was founded by current shareholders Larry Hill and Tom Sager in 1998.

It supplies Internet-based workflow management systems, whose core product, Infoshare, automates collaborative business processes to improve workflow quality and reduce costs.

Infolink also acts as an application service provider to supply Infoshare to clients on a usage basis.

New Zealand Post says it was attracted to Infolink due to its B2B e-service focus and the potential of Infoshare to become a major standard for Internet-based workflow management systems.

The company also plans to seek international distribution partners.
