A UK businessman has turned down a multimillion dollar offer for a Web address he only paid $200 for.

Peter Littke, MD of Java software developer Naxt, paid £65 for the rights to e-buy.com three years ago.

Last year, California-based Ebuy offered $6 million for the name and associated trademarks. Now, the company has just raised its offer to £4.6 million ($14 million).

Littke says the offer is "very tempting" but from September, he plans to use the site for a UK-based global consumer portal.
