Dear What Am I Worth,

I'm the systems and information administrator for a health provider in the Bay of Islands. I do all software and hardware support/training, NT Server 4.0 administration, upgrades and PC installations.

We have 2 NT Servers and 25 Win 95/98 clients. I have been in this position for three years and am doing MCSE [Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer] certification (yet to complete).

QUBE replies: From our experience salaries in the Bay of Islands tend to be 15% to 20% lower than Auckland. Based on that you should be earning a salary in the range $40,000 to $45,000 per annum, and you should expect an increase on completing your MCSE.
