Shopping in 30 seconds is the promise made by Epicor about its new eProcurement solution.
Aimed at small and medium businesses, eProcurement claims to be a complete procure-to-pay solution bringing major savings.
It allows a user to view an electronic catalogue of goods (office supplies, furniture, computers, hardware, software, etc) and services from their desktop Web browser.
"We call it the 30 second shopping experience," says Harry Child, Epicor managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
"They fill in an electronic shopping basket of whatever goods and services they need. The shopping basket gets wired through the organisation for approval, based on business rules that have been defined for that particular organisation, department or individual. When the shoppers' orders have been approved they get electronically submitted to suppliers for fulfillment," he says.
The software does not need custom coding or programming and a 'Point and Click' graphic user interface (GUI) allows users to build and change business rules.
