Dear What Am I Worth,

I’m working in Wellington as a desktop support officer for a large government department. The job includes second- and third-level support of over 700 clients around New Zealand. We also support printers and other devices from installation to network configuration. For the past three months I’ve been involved in our Windows XP testing and migration project.

I have over six years' experience in the industry in various technical roles.

I have a BCA in Information Systems and am an MCP working towards my MCSE. The server platforms and products I’ve worked with include, NT 4.0 Server and Windows 2000 Server/Advanced Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RIS), Exchange 5.5 and SMS (from application packaging to deployment), to name a few. My knowledge on network infrastructure is still at an intermediate stage with experience in the configuration of Cisco switches.

Alliance IT Recruitment replies: $55,000. To increase your market value focus on developing your server and infrastructure skills.
