I work as an IT department head and develop, administer and review existing computer-based information systems, database systems, including hardware, software and manpower resources in the office. I recommend to management strategies and actions as may be necessary to enhance its IT and computing capabilities.
I supervise and administer the local area network (LAN) and Internet and intranet system including Web site development and management, the email system and Internet server administration.
Aside from these tasks, I also formulate the five-year Information Systems Strategic Plan and IT project proposals, conduct IT-related training and consultancy and act as the project manager of an IT project that provides Internet, information, multimedia and Web media services to government agencies.
My technical background: information systems planning, project management, LAN administration, Web development and management. I have 10 years' experience. I work for the government in the Philippines.
