A New Zealand person-to-person auction Web site has expanded to let small businesses buy online advertising on its site.
Trade Me says small firms can “get their feet wet” by buying 2000 to 10,000 banner impressions on www.trademe.co.nz, upload their banner, and pay online by credit card.
Managing director Sam Morgan says his system lets firms target their advertising. The Trade Me site receives over 3 million page views per month, he says.
Trade Me is part of eCentric, a Wellington-based e-commerce development company (formerly AMR Software). Founded last August, it claims over 18,000 registered traders.
