Service technician

Certificate in business computing and an MCP

Dear What Am I Worth

I am a computer technician with a certificate in business computing and an MCP (NT Server & Workstation) who has been working in a service role for the last 5 years. I mainly deal with desktop support (Win 9x) but I have been involved in NT Server installations in small businesses and large nationwide projects. I am working for a service company of 10 technicians. I also have medium knowledge of Linux.

Candle IT & T Recruitment replies: It appears your role is very much involved around support and administration – second-level support - in which case you would be worth $40,000 to $50,000. If you are doing third-level support and have built NT servers, you could expect something in the range of $50,000 to $65,000.
