Gen-i makes B2B move

Gen-i says it wants to move into the mainstream B2B market with a new platform based on Jade.

Gen-i, formerly Wang New Zealand, says it wants to move into the mainstream B2B market with a new platform based on Jade.

The platform, obj-x, works on high-performance business systems. Gen-i says it incorporates Jade with XML, XSL and related technologies, with the benefit of speeding development and minimising maintenance costs.

It is also compatible with emerging industry standards, the company says.

"Currently we are delivering XML across a range of initiatives, including the integration of existing applications for the government and private sector, the creation of Web sites and business to business solutions and the implementation of document and content management solutions," says gen-i principal consultant Chris O'Brien.

Jade general manager of sales and marketing Owen Scott says the new platform "places gen-i in the mainstream market for producing B2B systems for large New Zealand organisations."
