TV chef Allyson Gofton has revamped her website with recipes being delivered via streaming video.
The www.ecook.co.nz site follows an earlier effort from Gofton, with the swept-up version featuring TV ad-style videos on demand.
The chef says she got the idea for the website after a radio appearance led to 1000 requests for a recipe. Viewers can watch the step-by-step cooking lesson, print out the recipe and go straight into the kitchen to prepare their meal, she says.
The website is backed by the New Zealand Beef and Lamb Marketing Bureau, New World, Next Magazine, Newstalk ZB and Lisa's Middle Eastern Foods. It also offers tips on basic cooking procedures, archive recipes and contributions from health nutritionist Jeni Pearce and wine writer Kingsley Wood.
