Sun Microsystems has opened a new training centre in Auckland.
The centre, with 12 workstations, a large screen and projector, offers courses for Sun's UNIX hardware and software systems, plus internet and e-commerce technologies, particularly Java, Forte development tools and iPlanet E-Commerce products.
Newly-appointed New Zealand training manager Rachel Baigent will work closely with SolNet, Sun's independent sales force and Sun's training divisions, and be responsible for Sun's other training centre in Wellington.
The courses are available to all and will now be handled through a New Zealand registrar instead of being handled via Australia.
Details are available on the www.sun.co.nz website and on 0800-SUNEDU.
