Dear What Am I Worth,

I am an Oracle DBA with five years’ experience installing, administering, supporting and tuning Oracle databases and data warehouses at many sites on Windows NT and various flavours of Unix.

I have a commerce degree and post-graduate diploma in IT from Auckland University. I have had extensive training and experience with Oracle7, Oracle8 and Oracle8i.

I also have OCP certification for Oracle database administration for Oracle7.3 and Oracle8. I will have Oracle8i certification by November. I have also led a team of six DBAs. I am interested in working in London or California.

Martin Ward Anderson replies: You have excellent skills in high demand in the UK. If you have banking experience you are looking at over £55/hr; otherwise anywhere between £45/hr and £55/hr. I am assuming correct visa status.
