IT people on the move: IT department changes and promotions.

The Ministry of Health has a new chief technology officer, Warwick Sullivan, who previously held the same position at the New Zealand Defence Force.

Tony Carpinter has been appointed national information services manager at the NZ Blood Service. He was previously IS manager at the North Shore City Council.

April Walker was recently appointed general manager, information systems at Southern Cross Healthcare. She replaces Roger Martin, who was acting in the role until a replacement was found. Walker was IT services manager at Clear Communications before it was purchased by Telstra.

Former Trade New Zealand CIO Hans Frauenlob has taken up the role of business development services group manager at NZ Trade & Enterprise, following the merger of Trade NZ and Industry NZ. In his new role Frauenlob is responsible for NZTE's online services, enterprise hotline and business training and development services, among other functions.

Massey University is seeking a regional IT manager to be based at its Albany campus north of Auckland. Applications close on August 29.
