Two trainers at Auckland-based ACE Computer Training are the first New Zealanders to receive masters-level certification in the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) programme.

Tasha Sibbald and Jonathan Parminter receive the award after seven months of part-time study.

Microsoft says it signifies an expert level of understanding and an ability to train to advanced stage in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Microsoft marketing manager Alex Morcomm says the MOUS courses are performance-based, so those who pass really know their subject.
