Telecom has repaired a fault in its 025 mobile network, explaining that the problem was not as serious as at first thought.
Telecom says a problem with a "software upgrade" at 7am today caused the outage. Service was progressively restored between 10.40am and 12.10pm.
Telecom issued a release in which general manager, mobility, Lorraine Witten, said Telecom was working with its software supplier Ericsson, and apologised to customers.
Telecom also asked customers trying to make calls to switch their phones on and off several times before attempting to use them, to register with the 025 network again.
