EDS lands deal with State Dept.

Electronic Data Systems in Plano, Texas, this week said it signed a deal to take operational responsibility for the domestic telecommunications system of the US Department of State. The value of the award wasn't released. WorldCom said the EDS deal doesn't affect the 10-year, US$360 million contract it signed with the State Department in December 2002.
