Adrian Lamo, a hacker who has publicised his intrusions into various corporate networks, was due to appear in federal court in New York late this week for an initial hearing on charges that he broke into systems at The New York Times in February 2002. Lamo, 22, surrendered to US marshals in California and was ordered to report to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation to New York.
