Converged network group formed

Cisco Systems , Intel , IBM , and others will push converged voice, video, and data networks through the newly formed Enterprise Communications Association. The group aims to educate potential customers about converged network technologies and to help the industry develop effective strategies. Not listed as founding members are Microsoft , which some analysts expect to play a growing role in multimedia communications, and telecommunication-gear makers Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks
