Intel, Xerox co-develop chips

Intel and Xerox have co-developed a range of microprocessors that will allow digital-imaging product manufacturers to bring products to market more quickly and with a broader range of features. The chips which Intel will manufacture, will offer the programmability of conventional microprocessors and the high performance of ASICs. The MXP5400 and MXP5800 will be the first of the microprocessors to be made available.
