As has been loudly signalled in the past fortnight, dairy company Fonterra has signed a $590 million outsourcing agreement with IT services company EDS.

As has been loudly signalled in the past fortnight, dairy company Fonterra has signed a $590 million outsourcing agreement with IT services company EDS.

The agreement will last seven years, covering more than 300 Fonterra offices in 34 countries.

The arrangement includes the transfer of 127 Fonterra IT staff and 10 contractors to EDS from March 1.

EDS won the business from Hewlett-Packard, which made a bid with Unisys and Equant.
