AST Products, a division of the AST Group, has announced the release of its Oculus Archiving.NET product at the Oculus User Group held in Johannesburg.
Oculus Archiving.NET is said to include distributed production imaging, indexing and document lifecycle control. "This release is a significant improvement in manageability for imaged documents including enterprise management and monitoring tools," says Henrik Stanley-Madsen, MD of AST Products.
Flexible visual designers aim to allow administrators to easily control the capture and archiving processes of the organisation. Oculus Archiving.NET has been re-architected using industry standards such as Web Services and XML to provide for maximum interoperability within the Line of Business systems, AST says.
The new product is based upon the Oculus Document Framework, which is designed to allow the Oculus product to take advantage of multiple document and information sources. This allows organisations to leverage existing investments in document management and imaging products, the company says.
