Microsoft is seeking applications from local and central government agencies for the fourth round of funding by its Innovation Centre.
The centre operates a dedicated laboratory in Wellington where project teams work together to develop technology prototypes.
Microsoft looks for innovative uses of its technology and how a project will benefit the organisation applying for funding and the public sector as a whole.
Applications close on August 20. Short-listed projects from the latest round of funding will be announced in September. The agencies named will then submit detailed technical documents for further evaluation. Accepted projects will be announced in October.
The centre has funded 12 projects from 38 proposals.
