2005 Computerworld Excellence Awards entries increase

No shortage of stars

Entries at this year’s Computerworld Excellence Awards are up 10% on last year.

Two new categories — Excellence in the Use of IT in Health and Excellence in the Use of IT in a Community Project — have each garnered 14 entries. Nine CIOs have thrown their hats in the ring for the coveted CIO of the Year award, 11 organisations will vie for the Excellence in the Use of IT in Government prize and there are 20 entries for Excellence in the Use of IT in Education.

Submissions are due by April 22 with finalists announced at functions in Auckland and Wellington next month. The awards night will be held at the Hyatt Regency Auckland on July 29.
