TelstraClear has announced it will merge its existing in-house IT group into newly acquired systems integrator Sytec, to be run by Melbourne-based Sytec boss, Luigi Sorbello.
“We will continue to build on Sytec’s excellent reputation by delivering innovative services that enable customers to change and grow using emerging ICT technologies,” says Sorbello.
The move also sees the end to the reign of Sytec’s managing director, Grant Smith, who leaves the company today but will continue in a consulting role.
Sytec’s director of enterprise services, Janine Doherty, will step in as acting chief executive until a permanent appointment is confirmed.
TelstraClear’s current head of ICT solutions, Mike Askew, is said to be working together with Doherty on integrating the two businesses.
TelstraClear bought Sytec late last year for $12 million.
