Telecom and AMP are negotiating a contract for the telco to provide voice and data services for the next few years.
The deal is thought to be worth more than $1 million annually, though AMP general manager of professional services Mark Ennis won’t confirm the amount. Nor will he say how long the contract is for, other than it is multi-year.
AMP has previously used several suppliers, the main one of which was TelstraClear, which has missed out in the review of telco services.
A decision has yet to be made on who will provide mobile services to the insurer. “We’re working through the mobile issue,” Ennis says.
He says AMP is also working through the implementation plan with Telecom.
