Justice selects Aussie firm for digital court recording

The Ministry will begin contract negotiations with Auscript this month

Auscript was selected after an open tender process. It has already installed digital technology systems in the New Zealand Supreme Court and the Australian federal courts.

The Ministry will begin contract negotiations with Auscript this month to determine the scope of the work. Costs associated with the project will not be known till the scope of work as been determined.

A spokesman for Justice says digital evidence records and archives will be able to be more efficiently accessed and maintained than the current analog systems.
