Red Hat to open NZ office

Sales and marketing support to be done locally

Linux enterprise vendor Red Hat is to open an office in New Zealand and is actively recruiting staff.

The office will offer sales and marketing support to Red Hat’s operations in New Zealand, according to the company’s general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Max McLaren.

Currently, the company has development centres in Brisbane, London and its head office in North Carolina. But, McLaren says, the company wants more of a local presence in this region because of the large number of Red Hat certified engineers here.

“We have more certified engineers in the Australia-New Zealand region than anywhere else in the world.”
