PM: ICT is the future for New Zealand

The Prime Minister was a guest of honour at the ninth annual CWEA

Prime Minister Helen Clark believes IT and telecommunications will provide future growth opportunities for New Zealand - a view she hammered home as guest of honour at the ninth annual Computerworld Excellence Awards.

Clark spoke about unbundling, IT in schools and health as well as government's role in promoting IT use in the community and singled out a number of winners, including health winner TelePaediatrics and overall judge's award winner Pt England School.
