After a competitive tender process, Jade Software has had its contract renewed to provide registry services to the Electricity Commission.
The registry manages information used within the electrical industry reconciliation process for every tradable point of connection on electricity networks in New Zealand. The system holds information on more than two million points of connection and is growing by 38,000 new connections a year.
The contract is valued at $2.5 million for an initial five-year term from the date all systems become operational. There are two three-year options for the commission to renew the agreement at its discretion.
Jade has provided the service since 1999.
