SAP has shown a new version of its Business One small business software to US channel partners in advance of a general release of the product later this year.
The upgrade, called Business One 2007, will add some functionality in areas like financial management and e-commerce, but the main focus has been on polishing existing features.
The web-based CRM (customer relationship management) software that SAP bought from Praxis Software last year will now be integrated into the core product and SAP has overhauled a tool for reconciling incoming and outgoing payments. The upgrade also includes new printing options, so that layouts can be exported to Adobe's PDF format and e-mailed more easily.
Business One 2007 should be generally available in November or December, according to SAP.
