Asnet appoints MD as owners step down

Chris Stewart and Denise Hansen to leave firm

Asnet Technologies has appointed Eric Greenop as its new managing director.

According to a statement from the company annoucing the appointment, Greenop "brings a wealth of international telecommunications experience to the role, having previously held management roles at companies such as Lend Lease, Transfield Telecommunications, Motorola, British Telecom and Mitel Telecommunications."

Chris Stewart, who founded the company in 1999 and has been a shareholder and general manager since that time, is to leave; the statement notes that Greenop's appointment "will prefigure his exit from the company by the end of 2011.

"Similarly, Denise Hansen, also a shareholder, who has been with Asnet Technologies since its incorporation and led the company’s videoconferencing education and training, will look to retire six months from now," the statement reads.
