EMC has launched new VoIP management software.
Two products, the Smarts VoIP Performance Manager and Smarts VoIP Performance Reporter, will allow companies to monitor, diagnose and report, as well as provide alerts, on all aspects of a system that may affect IP telephony services. This includes information about phone calls, telephone extensions, voice quality, availability of phone service and interconnections to telecoms providers.
The Smarts tools also monitor call volumes, call quality and route patterns to help ensure service levels. Trend reporting and historical performance data are also provided.
The software analyses data from multiple sources in order to pinpoint the cause of IP telephony and IT infrastructure problems.
