Telecom announces slimmed-down executive team

HR manager to leave after exec suite reduced from 10 to eight roles

Telecom has announced the appointments to the three executive roles, slimmed down from the present five, that were signalled when the company announced its restructuring earlier this week.

The changes will see the number of members of Telecom’s executive team reduce from 10 to 8; Wayne Peat, Group HR Director, will be leaving Telecom and HR responsibilities will be carried out by Jan O’Neill, currently GM HR, Telecom Retail. O'Neill will report directly to Paul Reynolds but not sit on Telecom’s executive.

The other executive to leave the suite is Nick Clarke, acting Telecom Wholesale chief executive.

Rod Snodgrass, previously group strategy director, will move into the newly-created chief product officer role.

The two corporate services director roles will be filled by Tristan Gilbertson, group general counsel and Tina Symmans, director of corporate relations, who will also retain their current responsibilities.
