MySpace hires in NZ

APN Digital to represent MySpace for sales

Myspace.com has appointed APN Digital Media as its New Zealand sales partner and appointed a local marketing and PR representative.

Spencer Bailey, commercial director of APN Digital Media says the deal will allow advertising bookings to be managed locally and allow advertisers to tap into a market of young internet-savvy New Zealanders.

MySpace.com is the second largest social networking site in New Zealand, trailing UK-based Bebo. According to the New Zealand Herald, Bebo had 768,000 unique visitors in July compared with just 194,000 for MySpace.

Julie Warmington will fill the PR and marketing role.
