The merger of two local resellers of the Greentree financial management suite will mean a “larger talent pool” to service New Zealand customers, says the managing director of the larger company and the new merged entity.
Endeavour Solutions, formed in 1997, says it is Greentree’s longest-standing reseller in the region and one of Australasia’s largest. It is merging with Greentree’s newest NZ reseller, GlobalTech, headquartered in Christchurch.
The increase in resources will be particularly important to small and medium-sized businesses, which are more likely to be short of internal resources to support the software, says managing director Chris Miller.
The original Endeavour had a staff of 20 and GlobalTech about 12, says Miller. With some new recruitment, the combined operation, still called Endeavour, will have 35 staff.
The merger follows a worldwide trend towards consolidation among value-added resellers (VARs).
The merged Endeavour, will have offices in Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton and Melbourne. As well as Greentree, it handles the Sage accounting, ERP and CRM range, HEAT support-desk software, The Vault health and safety application and Flow EDI. middleware for electronic document interchange.
The merger took effect from October 1.
