Customer enthusiasm was the driving force propelling many of the finalists in this year’s IBM Business Partner Awards which are being run by IBM in conjunction with New Zealand Reseller News.
Awards judge and Reseller News associate publisher Bill Bennett says a number of the people he contacted as customer references for the entries were extremely positive about their projects.
“My judging and interview notes contain terms like ‘fantastic’, ‘brilliant’ and ‘well executed’. It was clear many of the companies taking part in the awards have great customer relations. At the same time, referees were keen to talk about the measurable business benefits of the projects — a sure sign of success,” he says.
Twelve projects were shortlisted by the judging panel, which includes former Ingram Micro general manager Tony Butler, Hi-Growth Project executive director Garth Biggs, IBM New Zealand managing director Katrina Troughton, IBM Systems and Technology Group Manager Andrew Fox, IBM Software Group Manager Phill Patton and Bennett.
Further judging will determine the winners in each award category and a supreme award winner. The results will be announced at a cocktail function in Auckland on November 15 and in the November 16 edition of New Zealand Reseller News.
