Users association confirms board election results at AGM

Antony Royal, a member of Nga Pu Wae, the newly formed Maori working group advising on the Rural Broadband Initiative has been elected to the TUANZ Board.

Royal, who is a Te Haurahi Tika Trust trustee (Maori Spectrum Trust), is the only new member elected to the board. John Crisp (Transpower), David Gatland (Whakatane District Council) and Doug Wilson (Automobile Association) have been re-elected.

The results were confirmed during the organisation's AGM, which took place as part of the TUANZ Telecommunications Day in Wellington today.

Board members serve for two-year terms. Still halfway through their term are Chris O’Connell (Radar Guidance), Michael Foley (Voco), Rich Anderson (Westpac) and Bruce Turner (Aurecon New Zealand).

Rank Group CIO Pat O’Connell continues as Chair after being re-appointed for another year unopposed.
