Sean McBreen, Microsoft's NZ developer and platform strategy director, has been promoted to a new role at Microsoft's Redmond, Washington headquarters.
McBreen's new job is head of business planning and operations for Microsoft's developer and platform strategy. His appointment is effective from January 7.
According to Microsoft, he will be responsible for "developing effective global processes, procedures and communications that facilitate Microsoft’s Developer and Platform Strategy business planning and execution capabilities."
Additionally, McBreen will "have input into the strategic decisions for the company’s global platform strategy and developer community outreach efforts".
At Redmond, McBreen will join several other expat New Zealanders, including Microsoft chief financial officer Chris Liddell and Michael Howard, Microsoft's senior security programme manager.
