Mobile phone security company wins global recognition - again

SimWorks selected as one of the top 10 global mobile security vendors by telecoms analyst Visiongain

Auckland-based developer of mobile phone security software, SimWorks, has been selected as one of the top 10 global mobile security vendors in the recent Mobile Security and Anti-Virus Report 2007, released by telecoms analyst Visiongain.

The Visiongain report reviews developments in mobile security over the last several years, analysing trends and emerging threats, says SimWorks chief executive Aaron Davidson.

Last month, UIQ Technology selected SimWorks' mobile phone anti-virus solution, SimWorks Anti-Virus UIQ3, as the application of the month.

SimWorks was the first company to release an anti-virus product for SonyEricsson’s smartphones and the second to release an anti-virus product for Nokia’s smartphones, says Davidson. SimWorks' software protects over 1 million handsets across the world, he adds.
