Telecom appoints new AAPT CEO

David Yuile to take over from Paul Broad from July 1

Telecom has announced that David Yuile has been appointed CEO of Telecom’s Australian business, AAPT.

Yuile joined Powertel in February 2005, and moved to AAPT in 2007 as general manager, networks. He has been GM Network and Technology at AAPT since June 2008.

He takes up the role from 1 July and will report to Telecom CEO Paul Reynolds.

Current AAPT CEO Paul Broad, will finish his fixed-term contract on July 1.

In a statement posted on the NZX website, Reynolds says: “I would like to thank Paul for his outstanding contribution during a period of unprecedented change in the telecommunications industry in Australia.

“During his time at AAPT, Paul has successfully transformed the business from a predominant reseller, to a leading on-net data, internet and IP voice provider.

“We wish Paul all the best in his future endeavours."
