Bearing Point closing New Zealand operation, say staff members

Two of Bearing Point's directors are now directors of a new company

Business consultancy Bearing Point is reportedly closing its New Zealand operation. The company has 120 staff.

Computerworld inquiries were directed to Bearing Point’s US corporate office, which said Bearing Point remained active in the New Zealand market and maintained an office in Wellington.

But staff and, independently, a personnel company executive say the company is shutting up shop.

Two of Bearing Point’s directors, Suri Bartlett and Chris Day, are directors of a new company, Cadence NZ Ltd, which was twice renamed last week, starting as BE (2008) Ltd, then BearingNZ Ltd.
