New OpenCloud CEO

Telecommunications veteran to lead Kiwi software developer

Wellington telecommunications software developer OpenCloud has a new CEO. Jeff Gordon was named chief executive on 14 January.

Gordon, who was appointed chairman of OpenCloud's board of directors in June 2007, succeeds Stephen Newton, who continues on the board as a non-executive director, and will remain actively involved with the company in business development.

Previously, Gordon headed up Motorola's Europe, Middle East and Africa infrastructure business for which he was responsible for 1,400 employees and $1.6 billion in annual revenues. Prior to that, he chaired the Unisys European management board.
